ReplyDeletewell it has generated quite a few sterotypes over its life thus far some but not most of them are true. anthropomorphics are a small area of Scifi along the lines of genetics and fantasy. a furry is someone who generally has a fursona (a charector that represents them) or is someone apart of the wider anthro community such as writers, musicians and artists. considering the sterotypes a few percent don't like the term furry anymore which is fair enough as most people assosiate it with bizzare sex and other weird stuff. its the same with metalheads, 'otakus'(die hard manga/anime fans) and all other fandoms.
ReplyDeletelike all the other fandoms, the furry fandom does have its share of sterotypes. like people picture death metal players to be drug taking violent people (which there not becouse i;ve met a few and are probably more decent people then the others i've met thus far). furrys are pictured doing kinky sex in costumes. that may happen but its in the minoritys. next to 100% don't do that anyway because its impractical on so many levels.
hope this is a good enough description. furry means diffrent things to diffrent people, I see it as any other fandom that enjoys making art and friends. I think its fair that most people hold that view
